
Established in 1970, the Pennsylvania Society of Health System Pharmacists, PSHP, is one of the largest state affiliates of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. PSHP consists of more than 900 members employed throughout the Commonwealth in a variety of practice settings, including hospitals, home care agencies, long-term care facilities, ambulatory care facilities, health maintenance organizations, clinics, psychiatric facilities, sub-acute and chronic care facilities, correctional facilities and colleges of pharmacy. Members include pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students of pharmacy, and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry.
Our Mission is to advance and support the professional practice of health-system
pharmacy and serve as its collective voice through education, networking and advocacy.
Richard F. Demers, RPh, MS, FASHP, was awarded the 2011 Clifton J. Latiolais Award during the Midyear Clinical Meeting of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in New Orleans, LA.
First established in 1985, the award, named after the late Clifton J. Latiolais, professor and director emeritus, recognizes individuals of high personal and professional ideals who have made significant contributions to institutional pharmacy practice. It is jointly awarded by The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and the OSU Medical Center Department of Pharmacy.
The 24th PSHP Annual Assembly will be held at the Lancaster Marriot at Penn Square, Lancaster PA.
